Event Description:
Meal Packing description – an active and engaging assembly-line type volunteer experience either preparing our meals in our kitchen or packing the meals to get delivered to our clients. This opportunity requires volunteers to stand for 3 hours, participate in activities that require lifting, reaching, and bending continuously, and work on a fast paced box packing line.

Details:
Health: If you are not feeling well or are experiencing Covid symptoms within 48 hours of your scheduled shift, please cancel your volunteer assignment. Masks are required at this time.

Parking Instructions: You can park in the parking lot which is on the side of the building. Limited parking spaces. There is parking on Fleet St. as well.

Where to Meet: Please enter the building and let the person in the lobby know you are there to volunteer.

Volunteer Guidelines:
*Wear closed toed, sensible shoes with rubber soles that are non slip.
*Wear long pants; shorts are not permitted.
*Wear a shirt with any length sleeves; tank tops are not permitted.
*Wear a minimal amount of jewelry; expensive and/or large pieces are not permitted.
*Be able to stand the entire time.
*Wear the protective items provided by Meals on Wheels (hairnet, apron, & non-latex gloves).
*Transport any water in a plastic or metal bottle; glass and ceramic bottles are not permitted.
*Refrain from chewing gum.
